We have been commissioned to provide independent, authoritative reports to publishers, corporations and newspaper groups on a range of topics ranging from editorial systems to digital image management.

Automatrix provide consultancy and solution demonstrations either in London at our offices or at client sites throughout the UK and Europe.

Quark integration and support

We are one of a small handful of authorised Quark System Integrators and Quark Service Providers in the UK. We have specialist knowledge of QPS and QuarkDMS (we were the first Integrator to sell and install QuarkDMS in Europe) as well as an exceptional understanding of the QuarkXPress application and development environment.

Programming & development

Our team of programmers specialise in application, XTension and plug-in development. They can manage the whole bespoke process from analysing needs and generating a complete and professional specification, to delivering a final tested product.

We use a range of programming languages and tools appropriate to achieve the required solution objectives. Automatrix has also successfully undertaken large projects utilising AppleScript, Apple’s powerful scripting tool. Examples of this are tools to automatically build pages and adverts from a FileMaker database and to deconstruct books into a database so that the content can be re-purposed for the web.

Colour management

The Automatrix team has a wealth of experience and expertise in specifying hardware, calibrating devices, building ColorSync profiles and recommending colour workflows which can close the gap between what is viewed on the screen and what actually appears in print. We can help you achieve consistent colour throughout the workflow, from input to output.

Project approach

With all Automatrix solution installations, a proven methodology is followed to ensure a successful outcome. Key issues are highlighted and detailed and project plans together with implementation schedules are agreed prior to undertaking any installation. A process of regular review ensures that projects are kept on track and resources properly allocated.

Hardware specification

Hardware can be specified during the normal consultancy process and will be highlighted in any reports produced. Whilst the supply of hardware equipment is not core to our business it can be included when required for any installation.
